The startup company Calejo, which is a world leader in the AI area Hybrid Intelligence, i.e. the combination of traditional human modeling and AI, is now investing heavily in Italy.

The Tärnaby company Calejo Hybrid Intelligence AB has initially chosen to focus on Smart Water and has created an Italian subsidiary Calejo Smart Water S.r.l. for this purpose. Together with investors and leading water operators in Italy, pilots are now being built with the aim of creating better understanding, analyses and forecasts for the communities' water flows to eventually also control pumping stations and pumps in order to prevent water spills, overflows and environmentally negative floods into nature.

Calejo, which has previously carried out six different successful pilots in Sweden, also has far-reaching similar plans together with several municipalities in Sweden.

- Italy, like Sweden, faces major future challenges when it comes to neglected infrastructure investments in water pipes and water systems, which are often more than 50 years old. However, Italian authorities have come a long way when it comes to environmental monitoring, environmental control, incentive support and fines, and I believe that both Sweden and Italy have a lot to learn from each other. I see a transnational collaboration and exchange ahead, where I hope that we at Calejo can be an important cultural carrier for continued environmental work in Europe, says Jonas Berggren, CEO of Calejo Hybrid Intelligence.
